A law firm in South Jordan, UT is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their Estate Planning practice group. The ideal candidate will have 1-6 years of experience and either possess an LL.M., CPA, or accounting degree, or have meaningful experience in estate planning. They should demonstrate strong research and writing skills and be capable of working directly with clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the Estate Planning practice group, working on a variety of matters related to trusts, wills, probate, and estate administration.
  • Work directly with clients to understand their estate planning needs and objectives.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related documents.
  • Analyze complex estate planning issues and provide strategic legal advice.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex estate planning projects.

Requirements:

  • 1-6 years of experience in estate planning, with knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
  • LL.M., CPA, or accounting degree preferred, or substantial experience in estate planning.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Utah Bar.
