A law firm seeks an experienced workers’ compensation attorney to join its growing plaintiff-side personal injury practice in Charlotte, NC. This role involves managing all aspects of workers’ compensation claims, from initial case evaluation to resolution, with the support of dedicated paralegals. The ideal candidate is a skilled advocate with a strong background in workers’ compensation law and a commitment to providing exceptional client service.

Duties

  • Manage all phases of workers’ compensation claims with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case handling.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other case-related documents.
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients to provide updates and guidance throughout the process.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of recent experience in North Carolina workers’ compensation law.
  • Proven ability to independently manage a caseload.
  • Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on client satisfaction.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active North Carolina State Bar license (Required).
  • South Carolina State Bar license (Preferred but not required).
