Insurance Defense Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with at least one year of experience in insurance defense to join its expanding team in Sacramento, CA. Duties

• Represent clients in various legal matters, primarily within insurance defense.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Conduct depositions and manage case files from initiation to trial.
• Identify, consult, and collaborate with expert witnesses.
• Foster and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and service.
• Assist in all stages of litigation, including pre-trial, trial preparation, and post-trial activities.
• Participate in strategy meetings and collaborate with colleagues to resolve complex legal issues.

Requirements

• Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in insurance defense or litigation.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
• A genuine desire to learn and grow professionally.
• Trial experience is a plus.
• Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple cases efficiently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications
