A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its expanding California team in Torrance. This position focuses on representing clients affected by asbestos exposure, particularly those suffering from mesothelioma and lung cancer. The ideal candidate will possess experience in asbestos litigation or demonstrate a strong willingness to advocate for injured clients.

Duties

  • Represent clients with asbestos-related injuries, managing assigned cases from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct thorough depositions and interviews with clients and witnesses to gather vital information.
  • Assist the supervising attorney with case preparation, including drafting and reviewing motions, discovery documents, and trial pleadings.
  • Conduct client and witness interviews to evaluate and obtain pertinent information.
  • Appear in court as required and assist with various motions and legal filings.
  • Engage in occasional travel for client meetings or court appearances.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the state of California.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and well-organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in California.
