Personal Injury Attorney

A law firm seeks an experienced personal injury attorney to join its litigation team in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law and litigation, with the ability to manage a caseload from inception through trial. Attorneys with trial experience, settlement negotiations, and federal court exposure are highly desirable. The firm also welcomes junior attorneys to assist with cases under the guidance of senior litigators. Duties:

• Manage a personal injury caseload from intake through resolution, including trial if necessary.
• Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, and trial preparation.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in personal injury matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as briefs, motions, and complaints.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and trials as required.
• Provide legal counsel and advice to clients throughout the litigation process.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in personal injury law and litigation.
• Strong trial preparation and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Experience in federal court is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in New York (NY Bar required).
• A New Jersey Bar license is a plus.
