A law firm based in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Senior Corporate/Transactional Attorney with 7+ years of experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background, including a J.D. from an ABA-Accredited Law School, and possess an active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Prompt ability to obtain admission in the State of Iowa is required.

 

Duties:

  • Provide strategic legal advice and counsel on complex corporate and transactional matters.
  • Lead negotiations and drafting of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence reviews for mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions.
  • Advise clients on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management issues.
  • Manage and mentor junior attorneys and legal staff members.

 

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience practicing corporate and transactional law.
  • Demonstrated expertise in structuring and executing complex corporate transactions.
  • Strong academic background with a J.D. from an ABA-Accredited Law School.
  • Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Ability to promptly obtain admission in the State of Iowa.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-Accredited Law School.

 

Certifications:

Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

  • Extensive knowledge of corporate and transactional law principles.
