Job Overview: A highly respected law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Mid to Senior Level Associate Attorney to join its dynamic litigation team. The firm focuses on commercial and complex litigation matters, including executive compensation disputes and consumer class actions. The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of experience at a prominent law firm and will work in an ambitious, high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional results.

Location:

  • New York City, NY

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research to identify potential legal theories and arguments.
  • Draft legal documents including complaints, motions, briefs, and other filings.
  • Assist in all aspects of discovery, from drafting requests to document collection, production, and deposition preparation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel, both verbally and in writing.
  • Contribute to complex commercial litigation matters with a focus on executive compensation disputes and consumer class actions.

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of experience in commercial litigation, preferably with experience at an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to draft complex legal documents.
  • Experience with discovery processes, including drafting and responding to requests, document collection, and review.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to the state Bar (California or Florida preferred).

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Expertise in drafting complaints, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Ability to manage complex discovery processes.
  • Proficient communication skills, with the ability to effectively work with clients and opposing counsel.
