Job Overview

A respected Orlando-based law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic legal team. This role involves handling personal injury litigation cases, including auto accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, wrongful death, nursing home abuse, and property damage claims. The Litigation Attorney will manage cases from pre-suit to resolution, whether through settlement or trial. The position emphasizes professional growth, collaboration, and a supportive environment.

Duties

• Handle a caseload of approximately 35-40 litigation files.
• Prepare for and participate in jury trials throughout Florida.
• Collaborate with a dedicated legal team, including paralegals and legal assistants.
• Conduct depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
• Engage in motion practice and general discovery procedures.
• Advocate effectively for clients in court and during settlement negotiations.

Requirements

• Active membership in the Florida Bar is in good standing.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in personal injury litigation.
• Demonstrated trial experience, including serving as First Chair.
• General litigation experience, including depositions, discovery, and motion practice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional demeanor with a commitment to client representation and customer service.
• Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
• Experience with SmartAdvocate® case management software is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Education

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active and in-good-standing member of the Florida Bar.
