Job Overview: A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney to join its DC office. This is an excellent opportunity for a 3rd to 6th-year associate with a strong background in real estate transactions, including loan documentation, leases, acquisitions, and dispositions. The role involves managing a diverse portfolio of real estate matters for sophisticated clients, requiring exceptional attention to detail, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Location:

Duties:

  • Review title documents and conduct due diligence for real estate transactions.
  • Draft, negotiate, and close real estate secured loans, leases, acquisitions, and dispositions.
  • Advise clients on real estate matters, providing legal guidance and strategy.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to manage complex real estate transactions.
  • Ensure all documents are accurate and comply with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Manage multiple projects and clients efficiently, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in real estate law at a comparable law firm.
  • Proven experience in handling complex real estate transactions, including loan documentation, title review, and property acquisitions.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in legal work.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in New York.

Skills:

  • Expertise in real estate law, including secured lending, leasing, and acquisitions.
  • Exceptional negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Ability to provide strategic legal advice to clients.
  • Strong research skills and ability to synthesize complex legal information.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
  • Excellent time management and project management skills.
