Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal counsel to digital health and life sciences companies on privacy and security matters.
  • Advise on compliance with HIPAA and other relevant privacy and security regulations.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across the firm to deliver comprehensive, actionable advice.
  • Address emerging issues in data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.
  • Represent clients in data breaches, investigations, and enforcement actions.
  • Assist clients in navigating legal risks related to digital health technologies.
  • Engage in client meetings and contribute to the development of legal strategies.
  • Stay informed of evolving privacy and security laws and industry trends.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience advising clients on privacy and security matters.
  • Significant experience with HIPAA and privacy/security regulations.
  • Prior experience working with technology companies is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Certifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the California Bar or eligibility to waive in.
