A law firm based in Princeton, NJ is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Life Sciences Intellectual Property Attorney. The ideal candidate will manage both strategic and high-level aspects of multiple legal matters from inception to conclusion. Duties:

  • Handle high-level and strategic legal matters at various stages of progression, ensuring thorough and timely management of cases.
  • Communicate effectively with attorneys and clients, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
  • Produce high-quality legal work and ensure the required billing hours to meet client service expectations.
  • Manage business and contribute to generating new business through both group and individual efforts.
  • Adhere to the highest ethical standards of the legal profession.
  • Independently handle complex legal issues and show a strong commitment to advancing a career in litigation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.
  • Ph.D. or Master's Degree in a Life Sciences discipline is preferred.
  • Expertise in immunology, genetics, molecular biology, and/or pharmaceuticals is highly preferred.
  • Registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Licensed to practice law in good standing in New Jersey.
  • 6+ years of experience as a licensed attorney at a law firm, with a preference for candidates with more than 6 years of experience.
  • Previous experience in legal clerking or working in a law firm is required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • A Ph.D. or Master's Degree in a relevant Life Sciences discipline is preferred.

Certifications:

  • Registered to practice before the USPTO.
  • Licensed to practice law in New Jersey.

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and attorney interactions.
  • Proven ability to work independently and produce high-quality legal work.
