Job Overview

A law firm is currently seeking an experienced International Employment Attorney to support its growing Employment Group. This non-partnership track role requires a highly skilled attorney with at least 5 years of experience in employment law, with a focus on international issues and corporate transactions. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising on global employment matters, including corporate transactions, employee terminations, and drafting complex employment-related agreements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse team across multiple offices.

Duties

  • Provide expert advice on employment aspects of corporate transactions, including employment diligence.
  • Draft and negotiate employment, retention, and related agreements.
  • Counsel clients on employee terminations, reductions in force, and other workforce management strategies.
  • Advise on restrictive covenants, non-compete clauses, and employee mobility issues.
  • Work closely with international teams and clients, offering global employment law guidance.
  • Assist emerging companies in navigating employment law concerns and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in employment counseling, with a preference for international experience.
  • Experience with employment aspects of corporate transactions, employee terminations, and reductions in force.
  • Skilled in drafting and negotiating complex employment agreements, including restrictive covenants.
  • Strong ability to handle cross-border legal issues and work with international clients and teams.
  • Proven track record of managing complex legal matters in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the jurisdiction of application.

  • Strong legal research, analysis, and strategic thinking abilities.
