Job Title: Entry-Level Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A reputable law firm in Tampa, FL, specializing in immigration law, seeks a passionate and dedicated Entry-Level Associate Attorney. The firm focuses on advocating for immigrant communities and supports family unity through legal assistance. This is an on-site position, fostering a highly collaborative work environment where teamwork and dedication to client outcomes are highly valued.

Duties:

  • Provide direct legal representation to individuals and families in various immigration matters.
  • Represent clients in proceedings before the Immigration Court (EOIR), Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and the Administrative Appeals Office.
  • Handle custody matters before Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and conduct representation at the Asylum Office and before state and federal courts.
  • Manage cases involving the Department of State and other relevant agencies within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
  • Assist clients in credible and reasonable fear interviews and applications for affirmative relief before USCIS.
  • Ensure timely and precise entry of case data into an online case management system.
  • Perform additional assigned duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership and good standing with a State Bar Association.
  • 0-1 year of experience in immigration law is preferred.
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law institution.

Certifications:

  • Bar admission/membership (preferred).

Skills:

  • Strong bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish).
  • Excellent written and verbal advocacy.
  • Attention to detail in case documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational and case management skills.
