Job Overview

A law firm based in West Palm Beach, FL, is hiring for an Institutional Response Group Attorney role. This position focuses on supporting institutions in addressing civil rights, Title IX compliance, and other complex regulatory and investigatory matters. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in conducting investigations, developing policies, and ensuring compliance with trauma-informed and fair processes. Travel may be required.

Duties

  • Conduct investigations under Title IX, Title VI, Title VII, or related civil rights and criminal laws addressing sexual and gender-based harassment, violence, and discrimination.
  • Assist institutions in implementing trauma-informed, impartial, and fair resolution processes.
  • Develop and refine written policies, procedures, and educational materials for regulatory compliance.
  • Provide advisory services to institutions on regulatory frameworks such as Title IX, the Clery Act, and child protection statutes.
  • Support clients in policy design, compliance systems, and governance structures.
  • Collaborate with institutions, including colleges, universities, K-12 schools, corporations, hospitals, and not-for-profit organizations.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Title IX, the Clery Act, child protection laws, and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficiency in conducting investigations related to harassment, discrimination, and abuse cases.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Leadership experience in relevant fields.
  • Ability to travel as necessary.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in Florida.
