A law firm in Boston, MA is seeking an experienced Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will have a high level of academic achievement, significant large law firm experience in real estate finance law, and exceptional writing and communication skills. The role requires expertise in managing complex real estate finance transactions, including loan origination, mezzanine loans, preferred equity, asset management, and workout experience.

Duties:

  • Manage and execute real estate finance transactions on behalf of lenders, including loan origination, mezzanine loans, and preferred equity.
  • Oversee transactions from inception through closing and post-closing phases.
  • Handle secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents and related agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence and prepare transaction documentation.
  • Provide legal support for structured commercial real estate finance transactions.
  • Advise clients on regulatory and compliance matters related to real estate finance.
  • Collaborate with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders to ensure successful transaction outcomes.
  • Assist in asset management and workout processes.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • 3+ years of experience in real estate finance law at a large law firm.
  • Proven experience with loan origination, mezzanine loans, preferred equity, and commercial real estate finance transactions.
  • Experience with asset management and workout processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage transactions from inception through closing and post-closing.
  • Strong background in secondary market repurchase facility work and exit strategies.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in Massachusetts is required.
