The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years of relevant experience, specifically in secured and unsecured lending. This role primarily serves clients in the life sciences and technology sectors.

Duties

  • Provide legal support in secured and unsecured lending transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing financing documents, including loan agreements and security agreements.
  • Work on UCC-secured transactions and understand the implications of leveraged finance.
  • Collaborate with clients, including lenders and borrowers, to develop tailored financing solutions.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence and legal research related to debt finance matters.
  • Stay informed about market trends and developments in the life sciences and technology sectors.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of experience in debt finance or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of secured and unsecured lending practices.
  • Familiarity with UCC-secured transactions, leveraged finance, and private capital.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic performance is preferred.

Certifications

  • Must be licensed to practice law in CA.
