Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join its Workers' Compensation Defense team in a fully remote role available throughout Florida. This position provides the opportunity to manage an independent caseload and collaborate closely with an experienced Partner to develop litigation strategies and deliver high-quality service to clients. Duties:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of Workers' Compensation defense cases.
  • Partner with senior attorneys to develop effective litigation strategies and conduct client consultations.
  • Review and interpret medical records to strengthen case development.
  • Draft precise legal documents, motions, and pleadings.
  • Maintain regular and proactive client communication to ensure satisfaction and address inquiries.
  • Work independently within a remote, virtual environment.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in Workers' Compensation defense.
  • Strong analytical, written, and communication abilities.
  • Experience in reviewing medical records and drafting legal documents.
  • Juris Doctorate (JD) and active membership in the Florida Bar.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently in a virtual workspace.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active and in good standing with the Florida Bar.

Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and research capabilities for case preparation.
  • Proficiency in both written and verbal communication for client and court interactions.
