Job Overview:

A prominent law firm in Missoula, MT is currently seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join their legal team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling civil litigation cases, demonstrate strong communication skills, and be motivated to contribute to client development. This position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule, allowing the attorney to work remotely for two days and collaborate in the office for three days a week.

Duties:

  • Defend civil litigation cases with a focus on effective legal strategies.
  • Independently manage case files, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Engage in client communication, offering sound legal advice and updates.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Participate in trials, as needed.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to develop case strategies and arguments.
  • Assist in client marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Travel for court appearances and other legal matters as required.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Montana.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in civil litigation defense.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to manage case files independently.
  • Excellent communication, research, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in trial proceedings is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel for legal matters.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Montana State Bar membership.

Certifications:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid license to practice law in Montana.
