Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking a highly motivated Litigation Associate to join its team in Dallas, TX. This position will focus on non-subscriber defense and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on insurance defense. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of law firm experience, and while prior experience in insurance defense and federal court practice is preferred, it is not required. 

Location:

Duties:

• Assist in non-subscriber defense and commercial litigation cases.
• Handle insurance defense litigation matters.
• Work on federal court cases, including preparation and filing of legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Prepare motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Attend court hearings and depositions as required.
• Maintain compliance with court-specific procedures, deadlines, and local rules.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and prepare for trials.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in litigation, preferably in a law firm environment.
• Experience in insurance defense litigation and federal court practice is a plus but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Knowledge of court-specific procedures and local rules.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Texas State Bar.

Skills:

• Litigation experience in non-subscriber defense and commercial litigation.
• Familiarity with insurance defense litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
