A law firm seeks a skilled and dedicated Family Law Associate Attorney to join its team in Wesley Chapel, FL. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in family law and possess strong legal research and litigation skills. This role involves supporting case management, advocating for clients in various legal proceedings, and collaborating with senior attorneys to deliver exceptional legal services.

Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to support case development.
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws.
  • Represent clients in court, mediation, and negotiations, advocating for their best interests.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide legal analysis and recommendations.
  • Stay informed about changes in family law and related regulations to effectively serve clients.
  • Communicate with clients to gather information, explain legal processes, and provide ongoing guidance throughout their cases.
  • Manage a caseload efficiently while ensuring high standards of client service and communication.

Requirements:

  • Experience or coursework in family law is required.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
