Job Overview: A prominent law firm located in Seattle, WA, is seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney. The attorney will be expected to manage cases independently while collaborating effectively with clients and witnesses.

Duties:

  • Manage workers’ compensation defense litigation from start to finish, including case assessment, strategy development, and execution.
  • Conduct depositions, draft and argue motions, and represent clients in court proceedings.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel to ensure effective case management.
  • Analyze and interpret legal documents, case law, and statutory provisions related to workers' compensation.
  • Prepare detailed legal briefs and provide sound legal advice to clients based on thorough research and analysis.
  • Stay updated on changes in workers’ compensation laws and regulations to maintain compliance and inform clients accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in workers’ compensation defense.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Membership in the Oregon State Bar is required; admission to the Washington State Bar and California State Bar is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in deposition and motion practice.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for case-related matters.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Oregon State Bar.
  • Washington State Bar and California State Bar admissions are preferred.
