Patent Litigation Senior Associate/Counsel

Job Overview:

Duties:

• Manage patent litigation cases, particularly those involving computer, software, wireless device, and medical device technologies.
• Lead inter partes reviews (IPRs) and Patent Trial & Appeal Board (PTAB) proceedings, overseeing all stages from initiation to conclusion.
• Draft and file legal documents, including motions, pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and implement litigation strategies.
• Provide clients with strategic legal counsel and guidance on patent litigation and IPR matters.
• Supervise and mentor junior associates, fostering their development and managing case workflows.
• Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and trial proceedings.
• Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, offering regular updates and expert advice.

Requirements:

• 7-10 years of experience in patent litigation, including significant experience with PTAB and IPR proceedings.
• Proven experience litigating patent cases in computer, software, wireless device, or medical device technologies.
• Registration to practice before the USPTO is required.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex litigation matters independently and effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in the relevant state(s).
• USPTO registration is required.
