A law firm seeks an experienced attorney to join their team in Coral Gables, FL, specializing in community association law. The successful candidate will provide legal support to condominium and homeowners’ associations, handling governance, litigation, and a wide range of legal issues that affect community associations. The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background in real estate or construction law, exceptional client relationship skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Duties

  • Provide legal counsel to condominium and homeowners' associations on governance, compliance, and operational matters.
  • Represent clients in litigation, including construction defects, complex commercial litigation, and other legal disputes.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents related to community associations.
  • Advise on land use, zoning, intellectual property, employment law, and Fair Housing matters as they pertain to community associations.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and legal strategies.
  • Collaborate with team members on larger legal issues, sharing expertise and insight.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in community association law, real estate law, construction law, or related fields.
  • Experience with condominium and homeowners' association law is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex litigation and provide practical legal advice.
  • Bilingual attorneys (Spanish/English) are encouraged to apply.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.

Certifications

  • Florida Bar membership is required.
