Senior Immigration Attorney

A law firm seeks an experienced and dedicated Senior Immigration Attorney to join their growing team in Fort Worth. This position offers a dynamic opportunity for a seasoned attorney to take on a diverse caseload, represent clients in complex immigration matters, and contribute to the growth of a well-established practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in immigration law, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Duties:

• Provide legal advice and strategic solutions related to immigration matters.
• Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Manage a caseload of immigration cases, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
• Conduct intake sessions with detained individuals and provide legal counsel on their cases.
• Prepare and submit various immigration petitions, including those for removal defense and family-based immigration.
• Review immigration application packets and make necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, and community organizations on immigration law issues.
• Meet with prospective clients for strategic consultations and devise appropriate legal strategies.
• Develop case strategies, including preparation for court hearings and USCIS interviews.
• Perform legal analysis to identify potential benefits or risks in clients' cases.
• Draft legal briefs, motions, and other documents in support of immigration cases.

Requirements:

• At least 4 years of experience practicing immigration law.
• Proven ability to manage a high volume of cases effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Fluency in English required; bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
• Experience handling Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR matters, Detained cases, Citizenship applications, and other USCIS filings.
• Familiarity with case management software is preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member of the State Bar of Texas.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
