Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of family-based immigration cases, focusing on T visas and VAWA cases.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and legal advice to undocumented Mexicans and Central Americans.
  • Handle a high volume of cases, ensuring meticulous research, writing, and case strategy.
  • Lead and manage a dedicated team of legal professionals.
  • Maintain the firm’s 100% success rate in case filings.
  • Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and provide compassionate legal support.
  • Stay updated on immigration laws and policies to provide current legal advice.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies to support victims of labor trafficking and extreme cruelty.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including motions, briefs, and petitions.
  • Represent clients in court and before immigration authorities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
  • Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to support the firm’s mission.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in the United States.
  • Ideally, 3+ years of experience in immigration law.
  • Proven ability to manage both a team and a large caseload.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Strong passion for humanitarian immigration options.
  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting victims of labor trafficking and extreme cruelty.
  • High level of integrity and professional ethics.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
