The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in estate planning, probate, and trust work, including the preparation of both basic and advanced estate planning documents. This role involves handling the administration of probate, trust, and estate planning matters, focusing on estate and gift tax planning.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee probate and trust administration processes.
  • Prepare and review basic and advanced estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Guide estate and gift tax planning and prepare estate and tax returns as needed.
  • Advise clients on estate planning strategies and the legal implications of their decisions.
  • Meet with clients to discuss and review estate plans, addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Coordinate with other legal professionals, accountants, and financial advisors to ensure comprehensive estate planning.
  • Stay current with changes in estate planning laws and regulations to provide accurate and effective legal advice.
  • Maintain detailed and organized client files and documentation.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and handle various tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in estate planning, probate, and trust work.
  • Experience with estate tax planning and preparation of estate and gift tax returns preferred.
