A distinguished law firm based in South Jordan, UT is seeking a driven legal professional with 1-4 years of experience to join its dynamic team. This role centers on strategic business structuring, entity development, mergers and acquisitions, and general transactional work for privately owned enterprises. The position offers early client exposure, collaboration with experienced legal mentors, and a platform for growing a sophisticated transactional practice within a collegial and entrepreneurial environment.
Participate in drafting and revising transactional documents for corporate structuring and M&A deals
Conduct legal research and analyze documents related to acquisitions and other business transactions
Engage directly with clients to understand business objectives and provide tailored legal strategies
Assist in preparing and negotiating commercial agreements
Support senior practitioners in managing complex business transactions from initiation to completion
Help facilitate due diligence processes, documentation, and closing procedures
1-4 years of experience practicing in corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, or closely related areas
Familiarity with Utah corporate law or ability to qualify for practice within the state
Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate contracts with precision and attention to detail
Capability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a proactive, client-centric approach
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law institution
Active membership in the Utah State Bar, or eligibility to obtain it promptly
Transactional drafting and editing proficiency
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
