Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Irvine, CA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Attorney to join their team. Newly admitted attorneys with an interest in civil litigation are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who excels in both independent and collaborative work environments, possesses strong communication skills, and demonstrates responsibility, organization, and a positive attitude. This role involves managing, litigating, and running an individual caseload.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage and litigate an assigned caseload of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Appear in court for hearings, depositions, and trials as required.
• Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and other team members.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
• Manage case deadlines and ensure timely progression and resolution of cases.
• Provide regular updates and strategic advice to clients regarding case status and legal options.
• Work independently and as part of a team to achieve favorable case outcomes.
• Participate in firm meetings and contribute to the development of litigation strategies and practices.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar association.
• 1+ years of experience in litigation, preferably in civil matters.
• Strong interest in managing, litigating, and running an individual caseload.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
