A law firm is seeking a Health Care Associate Attorney for their Philadelphia office. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the health care delivery system and have significant experience in handling health care regulatory matters and transactions. This role requires superior research and writing skills, as well as the ability to advise a diverse range of health care clients and manage complex transactions.

Duties:

  • Address and interpret health care regulatory matters, including federal and state fraud and abuse statutes, HIPAA, facility licensing, corporate practice of medicine issues, and state regulatory issues.
  • Advise a broad spectrum of health care clients, including physician groups, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and other health care providers.
  • Manage health care transactions, including drafting and negotiating corporate documents, operating agreements, asset purchase agreements, management agreements, and employment agreements.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed written analyses and memoranda on health care regulatory issues.
  • Stay current with developments in health care law and regulations to provide up-to-date advice to clients.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to ensure successful outcomes in health care transactions and regulatory matters.
  • Provide guidance on compliance with health care laws and regulations and develop strategies to address potential legal issues.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school with an excellent academic record.
  • Active Bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice.
  • 4-6 years of experience working on health care transactions and regulatory matters.
  • Extensive knowledge of health care delivery systems and regulatory issues.
  • Proven experience in drafting and negotiating health care-related documents and agreements.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to advise a diverse range of health care clients.
