Job Overview: A law firm in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a dedicated Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will manage a caseload of personal injury files from inception through resolution, ensuring high-quality client representation.

Duties:

  • Ensure daily clearance of case management software (CMS) feed.
  • Complete all assigned tasks by relevant due dates.
  • Properly document all assigned cases in CMS.
  • Clear emails daily to stay updated on case developments.
  • Monitor and manage the progress and statute of limitations (SOL) for assigned cases.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with assigned Claim Specialists to review case statuses.
  • Conduct Initial 72-hour Contacts with new clients and Quarterly Meaningful Client Contacts (QMCC).
  • Assess cases for immediate demand and review red-flag records.
  • Audit cases to determine lifecare plans or future care needs.
  • Review and edit demands for partner approval.
  • Negotiate the settlement of claims on behalf of clients.
  • Review and approve disbursals and releases.
  • Inform Claims Assistant of reductions to requests.
  • Prepare Poremba/Breen letters as needed.
  • Attend litigation transfer meetings and participate in administrative staff and leadership team meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Graduated from an accredited institution recognized by the American Bar Association with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and specialization in law or related field.
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada and in good standing with the Nevada State Bar.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution recognized by the American Bar Association.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in case management software and legal research tools.
