Duties

  • Provide employment counseling related to corporate transactions, including employment diligence and advising on employment aspects.
  • Draft and negotiate employment, retention, and other related agreements.
  • Advise clients on employee terminations, reductions in force, and other workforce-related matters.
  • Draft restrictive covenants and counsel on employee mobility and retention strategies.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to emerging companies on various employment law issues.
  • Collaborate with legal teams across global offices on international employment law matters.
  • Maintain current knowledge of developments in both domestic and international employment law.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in employment counseling, with a focus on domestic and/or international matters.
  • Experience in employment law counseling related to corporate transactions and workforce issues.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills for employment agreements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and independently across multiple offices and teams.
  • Flexible and open to learning new areas of employment law.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction where applying.

  • Expertise in international employment law and cross-border employment matters.
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills for employment contracts and agreements.
  • Ability to provide strategic legal counsel to both established companies and emerging businesses.
