Job Overview:
A law firm specializing in creditors’ rights law is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney for its Florida office. This role offers the opportunity to take on significant responsibility, manage a variety of legal tasks, and contribute to the success of the Florida practice. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation and/or collections experience, be detail-oriented, and able to prioritize effectively in a high-volume environment. Location:

  • Plantation, FL

Duties:

  • Assist with managing the Florida practice
  • Handle hearings and legal matters in the state of Florida
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior attorneys
  • Monitor case progress and develop strategies for efficient resolution
  • Review documents, financials, notices, and demand letters to ensure all conditions precedent are met before filing actions
  • Draft and review pleadings and correspondence to initiate legal actions
  • Ensure internal systems are updated with findings, documentation, and recommendations
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all work
  • Safeguard compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements
  • Handle contested matters, including discovery and trials

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of litigation or collections experience
  • Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines in a high-volume environment
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Bar membership in Florida

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD)

Certifications:

  • Bar membership in Florida (Required)
