The ideal candidate will possess expertise in U.S. export controls (BIS), sanctions (OFAC), customs (including tariffs), and other international trade regulations. They should have a strong background in counseling, training, licensing, opinion work, filings, compliance audits, internal investigations, responding to government enforcement actions, and developing/implementing compliance policies and procedures. Experience with other types of investigations (e.g., FCPA) and/or national security matters (CFIUS) is highly desirable.
