Senior Attorney needed for Roseville office

A prestigious law firm is seeking a Senior Attorney with extensive litigation experience to represent California consumers in Lemon Law cases. The role involves aggressive, discovery-driven litigation tactics, with opportunities to engage in multiple phases of trial practice, collaborate on firm policies, and supervise junior attorneys. Duties

• Conduct complex legal research to support Lemon Law cases.
• Take responsibility for trial efforts, typically as second or third chair.
• Draft and file moving papers, oppositions, and address novel legal issues.
• Appear at hearings for motions and oppositions.
• Conduct depositions of key witnesses, including experts and executives.
• Provide assistance with trial strategy and trial preparation.
• Oversee and mentor entry-level and mid-level associate attorneys.
• Recommend improvements in client communication strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to implement and improve firm policies and procedures.
• Provide legal support for the coordination of interdepartmental operations.
• Resolve any arising legal issues in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of litigation experience.
• Experience in consumer protection or related areas of law.
• Active member in good standing with the California Bar.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex legal matters.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Willingness to travel within California for court appearances, vehicle inspections, and depositions.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed attorney, member of the California Bar in good standing.

Skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Westlaw, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational abilities, with a capacity to track deadlines and manage a heavy workload.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to operate in a team-oriented environment.
• Supervisory experience preferred, but not required.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Interest in consumer protection and advocacy.
