Duties:

  • Manage personal injury caseloads through pre-litigation claim process and potential litigation
  • Interact and negotiate with insurance companies on behalf of clients
  • Communicate and maintain positive client relationships
  • Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and other legal documents
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all legal documents prepared
  • Comply with all legal standards and regulations

Requirements:

  • Active Bar license in Kansas required
  • 1 year of experience pursuing or defending personal injury law claims or similar legal experience (e.g., workers’ compensation, disability, civil litigation)
  • Preferred active Bar license in Missouri
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills
  • Commitment to providing excellent, responsive, and compassionate client service
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.) and tech-savvy
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active Bar membership in Kansas is required; Missouri Bar membership preferred
