Insurance and Reinsurance Career Attorney

A law firm in Redwood City, CA is seeking a skilled Insurance and Reinsurance Career Attorney. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of insurance coverage issues related to professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies. The successful applicant will possess 2-5 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation, supported by excellent academic credentials and superior research and writing skills.

Duties:

• Provide expert legal advice on insurance coverage matters, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance.
• Analyze complex insurance policies and coverage issues to develop effective legal strategies.
• Draft, review, and negotiate insurance contracts, policies, and related legal documents.
• Represent clients in insurance coverage disputes through litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed analyses on insurance and reinsurance issues.
• Develop and execute strategies to resolve insurance-related disputes efficiently.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address and manage insurance claims and coverage matters.
• Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and case law affecting insurance and reinsurance.
• Prepare and present legal arguments, motions, and briefs in court and other legal forums.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility to obtain admission.
• 2-5 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
• Strong understanding of insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance.
• Proven experience in handling insurance coverage disputes and related litigation.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility to obtain admission.
