Job Overview: A law firm in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm, and will demonstrate strong academic credentials, superior research and writing skills, and the ability to manage cases independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and promptly reply to correspondence.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product.
  • Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
  • Foster positive work relationships within the firm and with external parties.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including working at a computer for extended periods, participating in virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from a well-recognized and respected law school.
  • 3+ years of litigation experience in a law firm environment, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Case management experience.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Good business judgment and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently as part of a larger team.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Research and problem-solving abilities.
  • Conceptual thinking and the ability to influence others persuasively.
  • Management skills to handle complex cases effectively.
  • State Bar admission in Illinois (IL).

Education and Certifications:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • State Bar admission in Illinois.
