Duties:

  • Advise clients on employment-related compliance, including worker classification, wage and hour issues, immigration matters, union and collective bargaining, employment policies and handbooks, and equal opportunity laws.
  • Draft and review employment agreements, including terms and conditions of employment.
  • Draft separation agreements and provide counsel on reductions-in-force and WARN Act issues.
  • Prepare and advise on restrictive covenants to ensure enforceability and compliance.
  • Conduct employment-related due diligence and handle employment-related representations and covenants in transaction documents.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address complex employment issues and provide strategic legal solutions.
  • Stay updated on changes in employment law and implement best practices to maintain compliance.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 4 years of employment law experience at a nationally recognized law firm.
  • Proven experience in advising clients on employment-related compliance and drafting various employment-related agreements.
  • Members in good standing of the Texas Bar.
  • Exceptional academic credentials with a strong legal writing background.
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated client-focused work ethic and ability to work collaboratively with internal teams.

Education:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas (TX Bar).
