A law firm in Irvine, CA, is seeking a skilled Tax Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of diversified transactional tax experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in partnership, real estate, and/or corporate tax matters, along with excellent writing, interpersonal, and communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with Am Law 200 experience and a high level of academic achievement. An LL.M. in tax law is a plus. Admission to the State Bar of California is required.

Duties:

  • Provide tax advice on partnership, real estate, and corporate transactions.
  • Draft and review tax-related documents, including opinions, memoranda, and agreements.
  • Assist with tax planning and compliance strategies.
  • Collaborate with clients and other legal professionals to address complex tax issues.
  • Conduct research on tax laws, regulations, and precedents.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and interactions with tax authorities.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations affecting clients.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of diversified transactional tax experience.
  • Experience in partnership, real estate, and/or corporate tax matters.
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Am Law 200 law firm experience preferred.
  • A high level of academic achievement.
  • An LL.M. in tax law is helpful.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • An LL.M. in tax law is preferred but not required.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of California.
