Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a highly motivated Civil Litigation Associate with at least 3 years of experience to join its growing team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have a passion for client advocacy, an ability to manage cases with substantial independence, and the ambition to handle high-stakes litigation. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a seasoned partner while gaining hands-on experience in a broad spectrum of cases, including business disputes, labor and employment, product liability, and tort law.

Location:

  • Dallas, TX

Duties:

  • Draft briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents
  • Handle discovery processes, including written discovery and taking/defending depositions
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on complex factual and legal issues
  • Represent clients effectively at hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings
  • Engage in business development activities to expand professional network and client base
  • Collaborate with team members and support staff to ensure efficient case flow and high levels of client satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Member in good standing with the Texas State Bar
  • At least 3 years of litigation experience
  • Strong writing skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively
  • Excellent time management and deadline-oriented approach

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Member of the Texas State Bar (Required)

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills
  • Proficient in drafting legal briefs, pleadings, and discovery documents
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong client advocacy skills and the ability to manage a caseload proactively
