A law firm in Dallas, TX is seeking an Immigration Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will report to the Sr. Associate Attorney and will be responsible for managing their own caseload, interacting with clients, and collaborating with the firm's Immigration Team. This role involves representing clients in various immigration matters, preparing applications, and providing strategic legal solutions.

Duties:

  • Report to the Sr. Associate Attorney and manage a caseload of immigration cases.
  • Represent both non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Conduct intake interviews and provide legal representation at detention centers.
  • Prepare and file a range of immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
  • Review and adjust immigration applications and packets as needed.
  • Work with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations to address changes in immigration law.
  • Conduct strategic consultations with potential clients to develop effective immigration strategies.
  • Develop case strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court appearances and USCIS testimony.
  • Provide legal analysis to determine potential case benefits for clients.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law.
  • At least 1-4 years of experience in Immigration Law.
  • Experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian relief, EOIR, detained cases, and USCIS applications.
  • Preferably bilingual in Spanish.
  • Proficiency with case management software is preferred.
