Job Overview: A well-established law firm located in Timonium, MD is seeking an experienced Healthcare Regulatory Attorney to provide specialized legal counsel to healthcare providers, specialty practices, professionals, payers, and vendors. The role requires a deep understanding of healthcare laws and regulations, with a focus on ensuring compliance with both federal and state guidelines. The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in healthcare regulatory law and possess the ability to navigate complex legal challenges for clients in the healthcare industry.

Duties:

  • Provide expert legal advice on regulatory compliance to healthcare providers and specialty practices.
  • Assist healthcare clients with adherence to federal and state healthcare laws and regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and others.
  • Represent clients in regulatory matters involving agencies such as HHS, CMS, and state healthcare bodies.
  • Oversee healthcare-related transactions, compliance audits, and investigations.
  • Work collaboratively with other attorneys on multidisciplinary legal matters to deliver comprehensive client solutions.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8+ years of experience practicing healthcare regulatory law.
  • Demonstrated expertise in federal and state healthcare regulations.
  • Proven ability to handle complex healthcare transactions, compliance-related matters, and regulatory investigations.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the relevant state bar.

Certifications:

  • State Bar certification in Maryland or ability to become certified.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare laws, including HIPAA, Stark Law, and the Anti-Kickback Statute.
  • Experience advising healthcare clients on risk management and regulatory compliance.
