Insurance Defense Attorney

A law firm seeks an experienced and proactive Insurance Defense Attorney to join its growing team remotely from Riverside, CA. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in handling a variety of insurance defense matters, with a particular focus on bodily injury defense, construction defects, employment law, or other related fields. This position offers both the independence to manage cases and the opportunity to work collaboratively within a dynamic legal team.

Duties

• Represent clients in various insurance defense matters, including bodily injury claims, construction defects, and employment-related issues
• Develop and implement legal strategies, managing cases from inception to resolution
• Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Conduct depositions, attend hearings, and represent clients in court as needed
• Negotiate settlements with opposing parties
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and colleagues to enhance case strategies
• Maintain strong client relationships by providing top-tier customer service and regular updates
• Ensure timely case management and compliance with all relevant legal standards
• Utilize technology and legal tools to streamline case management and document preparation

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the California State Bar, in good standing
• Experience in insurance defense, with a focus on bodily injury, construction defects, employment law, or similar areas
• Ability to handle a caseload independently while collaborating with a legal team
• Strong litigation skills, including drafting motions, taking depositions, and representing clients in hearings and court
• Experience negotiating settlements and resolving disputes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to case management

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active California State Bar membership (additional state licensure is a plus)
