Duties:

  • Represent clients in workers' compensation cases, attending court appearances, depositions, and mediations.
  • Prepare clients for testimonies, hearings, and mediations.
  • Draft legal documents, including post-hearing notes, findings of fact, conclusions of law, and appellate briefs.
  • Conduct legal research on workers' compensation case law and legislative updates.
  • Attend virtual and in-person hearings, mediations, and depositions throughout Pennsylvania.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Pennsylvania law license.
  • At least 1 year of experience in workers' compensation law or similar legal fields (claimant or defense).
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various locations for court appearances and depositions.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania (PA Bar License).

Skills:

  • Familiarity with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and workers' compensation systems like WCAIS.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and case management software.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of legal document management systems such as Litify is a plus.
