Bankruptcy Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in New York City, NY is seeking a highly skilled Bankruptcy Associate Attorney to join their esteemed team. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience in bankruptcy and restructuring, with substantial experience in representing creditors, investors, distressed companies, and other stakeholders in large-scale, complex U.S. and cross-border bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings.

Duties:

• Represent first and second lien lenders, bondholders, hedge funds, and other creditors in bankruptcy and insolvency matters.
• Act in contested U.S. and multinational insolvencies, restructurings, and bankruptcies.
• Handle multidisciplinary cross-border deals, particularly in Latin America and Eastern Europe.
• Appear before trial and appellate courts in complex Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 matters.
• Manage and execute large-scale bankruptcy cases and out-of-court restructurings.

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of substantive bankruptcy and restructuring experience.
• Experience in representing creditors, investors, distressed companies, and other stakeholders.
• Proven track record in complex U.S. and cross-border bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings.
• Familiarity with large law firm operations and practices.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
