Job Overview
A law firm is seeking a Regulatory Investigations, Strategy, and Enforcement Associate Attorney to join its team in Los Angeles, CA. This position focuses on state and federal regulatory litigation, including consumer class litigation and administrative litigation. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of relevant litigation experience and a strong understanding of federal court practices.

Duties

  • Represent clients in litigation involving federal regulatory agencies and state Attorneys General.
  • Handle Administrative Procedure Act challenges and related legal matters.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and pleadings, with precision and clarity.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and stakeholders to develop effective litigation strategies.
  • Engage in discovery processes, including document review and depositions.
  • Maintain thorough case management, ensuring compliance with all deadlines and procedural requirements.
  • Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients on regulatory matters and litigation strategies.
  • Stay informed about relevant legal developments and changes in regulatory frameworks.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • 3-6 years of litigation experience, particularly in regulatory and administrative law.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the California Bar.
  • Clerkship experience in a relevant judicial position is strongly preferred.

Education

  • JD from an accredited institution.
  • Strong academic record, demonstrating excellence in legal studies.

Certifications

  • California State Bar License (must be active and in good standing).

Skills

  • Superior research and writing abilities, with a proven track record in producing high-quality legal documents.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess complex legal issues and develop effective strategies.
