Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A prominent law firm located in Washington, DC, is seeking a mid-level Litigation Associate Attorney with expertise in complex antitrust and commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal writing abilities and experience in all aspects of litigation, including drafting court documents, conducting legal research, and participating in depositions.

Duties:

  • Handle a wide variety of complex antitrust and commercial litigation cases.
  • Draft briefs, motions, and other court filings.
  • Conduct case law research and provide strategic legal recommendations.
  • Prepare for and actively participate in depositions and hearings.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and partners on various legal matters.
  • Assist with client meetings, case strategy discussions, and court appearances.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in antitrust and complex commercial litigation.
  • Proven experience drafting legal briefs, motions, and court filings.
  • Experience preparing for and participating in depositions and hearings.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform legal research and analysis effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic performance in law school, particularly in litigation-related coursework.

Certifications:

  • Active member in good standing of the Washington, DC Bar, or ability to waive in.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
  • Strong research abilities, particularly in antitrust and commercial litigation.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-stakes litigation environment.
  • Judicial clerkship experience is preferred.
