Duties:

  • Represent clients in civil litigation matters, focusing on insurance defense and personal injury cases.
  • Manage cases from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial preparation.
  • Participate in trials and hearings, providing strategic legal support in the courtroom.
  • Conduct legal research, analyze case law, and prepare detailed reports for clients and senior attorneys.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and colleagues to develop case strategies and provide legal guidance to clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.
  • Ensure case deadlines and documentation are met promptly.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on defense or personal injury law.
  • Experience handling trials and case management, including drafting and responding to motions, discovery, and pleadings.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess and interpret complex legal issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey legal information to clients and colleagues.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • California State Bar license in good standing.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar (Required).
