Duties

  • Represent clients in complex real estate transactions, including the negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, development agreements, construction documents, financing arrangements, and leases.
  • Deliver high-quality work and maintain effective communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for advising clients within the real estate sector.
  • Exhibit responsiveness, creativity, and efficiency in handling tasks.
  • Continuously seek to improve knowledge and skills, actively seeking feedback to enhance performance.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues, integrating into the practice and contributing to business development efforts.
  • Network with existing clients and explore business development opportunities.

Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in real estate transactions within a law firm.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks while working under significant time constraints.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed attorney in good standing in the state of Illinois or eligible to waive into the jurisdiction.
