Immigration Attorney

Location:

• Las Vegas, NV

Duties:

• Develop strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimony.
• Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).
• Manage and maintain a significant caseload, ensuring efficient case progression.
• Conduct intake meetings with detained individuals at detention centers.
• Prepare diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions.
• Review and adjust immigration applications and packets as necessary.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on updates to immigration laws.
• Meet with potential clients for strategic consultations and determine the necessary legal strategy.
• Provide legal analysis to clients to identify potential benefits and effective case strategies.
• Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in Immigration Law.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload and move legal cases forward efficiently.
• Familiarity with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR, Detained cases, Citizenship applications, and other USCIS applications.
• Experience with case management software preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with clients, team members, and external stakeholders.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
• Ability to develop legal strategies and represent clients in complex immigration matters.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Nevada State Bar (or ability to become licensed in Nevada).
• Additional Bar licenses are a plus.
